Why Tallow & What Is It?
Tallow is simply purified, rendered beef fat. And before you let that scare you off, hear us out.When properly rendered, tallow becomes a smooth, creamy, nearly odorless ingredient that has been used in traditional skin care for generations.
It's naturally rich in fatty acids, with a lipid profile often compared to the natural oils found in our skin, known as sebum. This makes tallow a beautiful emollient for helping soften, condition, and protect dry lips.
